Urine testing certifications & cutoff levels

Urine testing panels and cutoffs

Urine drug testing, one of the most common screening methods, is an accurate and reliable way to detect drug use.

Drug testing is performed at all three of our Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA)-certified laboratories. Quest Diagnostics offers a variety of drug test panels and cutoff levels in addition to the federally-mandated SAMHSA / US Department of Transportation (DOT) 5-drug panel.

Certifications

Quest Diagnostics participates in rigorous lab proficiency testing. All of our drug testing laboratories hold and maintain Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments of 1988 (CLIA-88), SAMHSA, and College of American Pathologists (CAP) certification as well as any applicable state licensure. We are committed to the highest standards of quality.

Broad drug testing menu

With hundreds of different combinations of detectable drugs, test codes, and cutoff levels, there’s a urine testing panel for almost any reason for drug testing. However, our most commonly requested urine drug test is a 5-panel that screens for the presence of the amphetamines, cocaine, marijuana, opiates, and PCP.
