My Quest Story - Gloria Gonzalez

Seven years ago, I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. Seeing all the hard work the medical professionals were doing to get me better really made me want to do the same for other people. After getting well, I became a medical assistant and then a phlebotomist. I was always interested in phlebotomy, and that was the push I needed to get started in my career as a phlebotomist. I received exceptional care when I was sick, and I wanted to pay it forward.

I joined Quest Diagnostics in 2024 as a Patient Services Representative II. I enjoy seeing the regular patients at the Western New York Patient Service Center in Blasdell where I work and helping them on their health journeys. It reminds me of my experiences and how grateful I am to be healthy again.

I do my best to give each patient the best quality care I can. I know that many are coming to Quest at their worst, and it's my job to help get the best samples so that they can get the quality care they need.
