QuestCares Hometown Softball Game Benefits Charities

A tradition played out on Sept. 21, 2016, when a team of players from Quest Diagnostics headquarters met Madison, NJ, Mayor Robert Conley’s team of elected officials and municipal employees on the softball diamond. The 8th annual QuestCares Charity Softball Game is a friendly rivalry that raises funds and awareness for the Madison Area YMCA Kirby Center, a childcare and childhood development center, and the American Cancer Society.Vowing to come back fighting after Quest gave up an early lead in the late innings at last year’s game, President and Chief Executive Officer Steve Rusckowski led our team to a 13-10 victory to regain bragging rights and the trophy.  Families attending the game at Dodge Field enjoyed a barbeque fare, games, and live music from nearby Drew University a capella groups on a beautiful late summer evening.Through Quest’s partnership with the Madison community, more than $26,000 has been raised through the annual softball games; this money benefits the community as well as local and national nonprofit organizations.
