Magazine Highlights Quest Logistics Supervisor’s Military Background

Skills honed during Autumn Church’s military career are put to use every day in her work as a Quest Logistics Supervisor. How her training applies to her post-Army career is highlighted in the September-October 2016 issue of Diversity In Action magazine.“I was taught in the military to think very strategically and tactically,” Church tells the magazine. “They teach you how to look at a situation and think of all the things that could possibly go wrong and plan for all of those contingencies. So when I came to Quest, it was just natural for me.”

Diversity In Action - September/October 2016 (pages 8-9)Church spent eight years in the Army, first working for Raytheon before joining Quest two-and-a-half years ago. She is based at the Quest Diagnostics National Logistics Operation Center in Tampa, Florida.Quest currently employs more than 2,000 veterans, including our Sr. VP and Chief Human Resources Officer, Jeff Shuman.  “The way they are able to approach challenges and look at things through having been in the military – through their training, through active duty – serves them exceptionally well,” Shuman said of veterans in the magazine. To read the full Diversity In Action article, “Utilizing Military Skills,” click here.To learn more about career opportunities within Quest Diagnostics, visit QuestDiagnostics.com/Careers.
