About

Julie L. Friedman, MD is a pathologist and medical director for several Quest Diagnostics laboratories in South Florida at. Dr Friedman has extensive experience working in almost all pathology sub-specialty areas including surgical pathology, cytopathology, clinical pathology, molecular pathology, and quality assurance.

 

Dr Friedman received her Bachelor of Science in biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Miami School of Medicine. Dr Friedman continued her postgraduate training at Mount Sinai Medical Center, where she completed an anatomic and clinical pathology residency, as well as a surgical pathology fellowship.

 

Dr Friedman’s primary clinical interests center around molecular infectious disease, hematology, and women’s health. She is also interested in improving the dialogue between clinicians and the laboratory to enhance patient outcomes.

 

Dr Friedman is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology by the American Board of Pathology. She is a member of several professional associations, including the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology, the American Society for Clinical Pathology and College of American Pathologists.
