AACC: Highlighting the Latest Data & Engaging with the Scientific Community

In early August, members of Quest Diagnostics attended and presented scientific presentations at the 68th American Association for Clinical Chemistry (AACC) Annual Scientific Meeting & Clinical Lab Expo in Philadelphia. AACC is a global scientific and medical professional organization dedicated to clinical laboratory science and its application to healthcare. The organization’s annual meeting provides an opportunity for leaders in laboratory and applied sciences exchange the latest research in this space, in order to benefit patients and advance. More than 20,000 attended the event, according to the AACC.To advance diagnostic science and innovation, Quest Diagnostics regularly publishes novel data on its own proprietary test techniques as well as on other providers at scientific conferences. At AACC, Quest scientists presented original data on the impact of a certain drug therapy for autism on metabolic risk in children and adolescents, the use of mass spectrometry to measure insulin and C-peptide for diabetes evaluation, and a review of autoantibodies testing to assess autoimmune disorders.Quest also hosted an exhibit hall booth where scientists, vendors and Quest employees could learn more about our many offerings including Data Diagnostics, Blueprint for Athletes and our new dementia screening test CogniSense.Medical meetings such as AACC provide an excellent opportunity for Quest to present its latest data, engage with the scientific community to learn about trends in laboratory science and present its offerings through the Expo session.
