Integration overviews

The Activity Button is a menu button in Epic that launches Quanum ECS  to allow viewing of the documents indexed to a patient encounter (depending on context).

Includes the capture of admit, pre-admit, discharge, merge, and update messages sent to Quanum ECS  in HL7 format. The HL7 messages will create, modify, or move patient encounters/charts within Quanum ECS.

Deficiency Tracker enables a chart analyst to assign a signature deficiency to a Quanum ECS document. The created signature deficiency will send an In-Basket message to the provider to sign the scanned document within Epic. The assigned provider will be able to view the Quanum ECS document via the integrated viewer and either decline or sign the document.

EOB documents scanned into the Quanum ECS non-patient cabinet/drawer/folder structure create an outbound HL7 document notification message that is sent to Epic. The hyperlink is sent to the Epic payment posting workflow to view the scanned document, which resides within Quanum ECS.

Quanum ECS delivers an outbound HL7 notification to Epic in real-time once a document is sent via an interface, scanned from Quanum ECS, or imported into Quanum ECS. This interface is also used to update a document if it is deleted or moved within Quanum ECS. This notification appears as a hyperlink within Epic.

The EpicCare Link displays Quanum ECS documents to providers from EpicCare and PlanLink.

The HIM Release of Information (ROI) integration allows users to include Quanum ECS documents within the release as if they are stored on the Epic Blob server. The Quanum ECS documents will print in the standard legal medical record reports.

Hyperdrive is a secure, Epic-specific web browser that includes a Windows-native plugin infrastructure that enables integrations with other products.

The Hyperlinks Backload creates a backload of HL7 journal file(s) for historical documents located in Quanum ECS that are sent to Epic for the creation of hyperlinks.

Image Retrieval allows the Epic-supplied web service to request any type of document stored in Quanum ECS for viewing in Hyperspace® or Hyperdrive, Care Everywhere®, Thumbnails, OCR Search, and MyChart. The Quanum ECS documents can be displayed as thumbnail previews on the media tab and are available for notes and viewing within MyChart. The documents viewable from MyChart are the result-level documents.

OCR Search allows Quanum ECS documents, viewable with Epic hyperlinks, to be included in the results list for an Epic OCR Search. From the results list, Quanum ECS documents are viewed via the standard hyperlink within the Epic viewer.

Quanum ECS can receive an order from an HL7 interface, and the order number is available during batch scanning to be associated with the document. When the order number is associated with the document, the order number is sent outbound to Epic via the notification interface.

The Resolute Correspondence integration allows users to scan correspondence documents into the patient encounter within Quanum ECS. Quanum ECS provides the notification for the identified correspondence document types via a batch outbound flat file. The Scan Viewer integration is utilized to view the correspondence documents.

Scan Acquisition allows the user to launch the scan acquisition module to capture documents. The user can scan at the patient level or encounter level and depending on the workflow, may also scan at the order level. When the document is scanned at the order level it may be available to view on the orders-based tabs. The scanned document is stored in Quanum ECS and is immediately viewable within Epic.

This Quanum ECS interface processes an HL7 message when a hyperlink is updated or re-indexed in Epic or when the hyperlink is deleted in Epic. Quanum ECS will update, delete, or re-index the document with the supplied document metadata.

Scan Viewer is an integration utilized to view a Quanum ECS document from within Epic via the hyperlink.

The Scheduling Interface includes the capture of appointment or scheduling messages sent to Quanum ECS in HL7 format. The HL7 messages create a patient encounter/chart within Quanum ECS.

The User Update Interface includes the capture and processing of HL7 messages or ASCII text formatted reports containing user update data to create and modify existing Quanum ECS users in the customer production instance.

The Quanum ECS Web Blob Pass Through integration is a FHIR web service that allows Epic systems to perform add, update, and view document operations within Quanum ECS. Epic is the source system for these documents but may still be viewed from either Epic or Quanum ECS (read-only).
