Amplify clinical confidence in hereditary cancer screening—with a collaborator who shares Sutter Health’s commitment to excellence

You don’t have to be a specialist to start screening. Many eligible patients remain untested for hereditary cancer and primary care plays a critical role in closing that gap. Quest’s full-service approach simplifies the journey—from screening and ordering to pre-authorization, sample analysis, and result interpretation—ensuring a seamless and supportive experience at every step.

Our solutions go further, so Sutter Health's care can too

Whether you're looking for focused or comprehensive risk testing, Quest can support you. Learn more by downloading our hereditary cancer brochure.

Genetic testing can be complicated. Paying for it shouldn’t be.

We understand that hereditary cancer testing can be overwhelming, and we are committed to helping you and the patients in your practice through the process.

That’s why Quest Diagnostics offers a financial support program

  • Upon receipt of a fully completed test order,* our team will verify coverage with a patient’s health insurance plan and estimate their likely out-of-pocket responsibility
  • Out-of-pocket limit of $200 for qualified patients through our supplemental financial assistance program
  • For patients who require additional financial assistance, Quest Diagnostics offers payment plans of 0% financing for a 12-month period
  • We also offer pre-authorization services. Our Specialty Testing Services (STS) team will work on providers’ behalf to obtain pre-authorization from insurance before the laboratory performs the test

Sharing your mission: Solutions designed to improve operational efficiency and clinical outcomes

Enhanced coordination between labs and providers can ensure seamless patient journeys, no matter where a patient receives care. We provide tools that support integrated care efforts and facilitate communication and coordination across teams.

Direct access to genetic counselors for patients and providers

Many patients already have access to genetic counseling services through their primary healthcare provider. For those who don’t, Quest Diagnostics connects people considering genetic testing with a genetic counselor.

Counselors advise on indications for testing, limitations, risks, and options associated with testing, and they will help explain what the results mean to the patient and the patient’s family.

Our genetic counselors are also available to help medical professionals from 5:30 AM to 5:00 PM PST with any genetic testing questions, including appropriate test selection and interpretation of results.

Finding a local genetic counselor

Alternatively, if a patient prefers a genetic counselor in your area, they can check the National Society of Genetic Counselors website at NSGC.org/FindAGeneticCounselor.
