Hair drug testing process and certifications
Our hair drug testing panels detect commonly abused drugs and yield reliable results that are defensible in court, meaning you can screen with confidence.
A two-tiered testing process ensures that positive drug test results are re-checked and confirmed. The initial hair specimen is screened using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) technology, a proven methodology for routine screening.
Any hair test specimens that are presumptively positive in the initial tests are confirmed with another portion of the hair specimen using either the traditional GC/MS confirmation method or GC/MS/MS technology.
Quest Diagnostics Employer Solutions drug testing locations hold and maintain Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMSHA), Certified Authorization Professional (CAP), and Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments of 1988 (CLIA-88) certification as well as any applicable state licensure.
