How does your family like to have fun together? Is it sharing a meal, riding bikes, talking a walk? In celebration of Quest’s partnership with the National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse (CASA), we are proud to support their annual Family Day initiative, a national movement which promotes simple acts of parental engagement as key ways to prevent risky substance abuse in children and teens.We invite you to join in by taking a photo of your family having fun together and share it online with hashtag #MyFamilySelfie.In a recent blog post, Steve Rusckowski, Quest Diagnostics Chairman, President and CEO, explained why this initiative is important to him personally and to our company’s commitment to strong families and healthy communities. As Steve writes, being present matters. Whether it’s helping your kids with homework, sharing a meal at the table (or in the car!), or going for a walk around the neighborhood, spending quality time with your children shows them that you care and helps them make better decisions.A few Quest families recently kickstarted the Family Day celebration with an event in New York City, where kids and parents got the chance to shake their sillies out and spend some time together.
