Quest Diagnostics' Upper Wimpole Street laboratory and patient service centre was opened in May 2001. It is dedicated to servicing the Central London private medical sector. Our staff are fully committed to providing a service of the highest quality whilst at the same time understanding the need to adhere to rapid turnaround times.

Routine tests currently performed on site include routine Biochemistry, Haematology and Endocrinology.

Our on site test menu is constantly evolving to meet our clients' needs.

Tests not routinely performed at our Upper Wimpole Street laboratory are referred to our main UK laboratory in Heston, Middlesex. Furthermore, daily flights to our US laboratories, including the prestigious Nichols Institute, provide access to virtually every esoteric test that can be required. This means that you can source all your pathology requirements from one provider.

Courier Service
We operate a dedicated courier service and our courier acts as a communication link between our clients and the laboratory. The frequency and timing of pickups are established to suit clients' needs.

Client Response Centre
Quest Diagnostics has a dedicated Client Response Centre (CRC) to give the client one number to call for any enquiries regarding our pathology services. CRC Representatives are trained to assist you with:

Verbal test results
Duplicate test results
Questions about tests or test results
Urgent courier pick up of specimens
Billing enquiries
Customer service information

Patient Service Centre
Quest Diagnostics' Upper Wimpole Street patient service centre is open from 8.30am until 7.30pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 1pm on Saturdays. Samples are taken by qualified staff and appointments are not always necessary unless specialised investigation is required.

Domiciliary Service
Visits to patients, either at home, office or other convenient locations, may be arranged for the purposes of sample taking. This can be organised through the Client Response Centre.

Urgent and Out of Hours Requests
Results for routine pathology requests performed at our Upper Wimpole Street laboratory will be available within 4 hours of receipt of the sample. Should an urgent result be required we will process the test as a priority and telephone or fax the result as requested.
