Clinical Significance

Diagnosis and follow up of patients with pheochromocytoma and related neurogenic tumors.
Drugs which can interfere with testing due to physiologic response: bromocriptine, bronchodilators, clonidine, digoxin, L-dopa, labetelol, methyldopa, monoamine oxidase inhibitors, nitroglycerin, reserprine, sympathomimetic amines, tricyclic antidepressants.
