Clinical Significance

ANAEROBIC BACTERIA CAUSE A VARIETY OF HUMAN INFECTIONS.
PROPER SPECIMEN COLLECTION AND TRANSPORT, MEDIA AND
INCUBATION ARE IMPORTANT CRITERIA FOR THE RECOVERY OF
ANAEROBES. THE RESULTS OF ANAEROBIC CULTURES ASSIST THE
CLINICIAN WITH DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT OF PATIENTS WITH
ANAEROBIC INFECTIONS.
