Draw light blue-top (LB) tubes. Fill to complete volume. Mix well by gentle inversion. Centrifuge 2000 x g for 10 minutes. Remove plasma to plastic centrifuge tubes, using a plastic pipette. Centrifuge again. Pipette the platelet-poor plasma into 5 clean, plastic, screw-capped vials (2 mL EACH). Transport 5 FROZEN samples on dry ice in the same shipping container. Avoid freeze/thaw cycles.
