Clinical Significance

DIPSTICK URINALYSIS IS IMPORTANT IN ACCESSING THE CHEMICAL
CONSTITUENTS IN THE URINE AND THE RELATIONSHIP TO VARIOUS
DISEASE STATES. MICROSCOPIC EXAMINATION HELPS TO DETECT
THE PRESENCE OF ABNORMAL URINE CELLS AND FORMED ELEMENTS.
CULTURE MAY IDENTIFY THE ORGANISM(S) CAUSING INFECTION.
