When To See a Doctor
You have answered Yes to:
Do you think your child has an extremely high fever [105°F (40.6°C) or higher]?
See significance of high temperature if you need information to help you answer the questions below.
Review health risks that may increase the seriousness of your child's symptoms.
Call your child's health professional immediately if you answer "Yes" to any of the following questions.
Yes Does your child have a temperature of 105°F (40.6°C) or higher?
Yes Do you think that your child has an extremely high fever, but you are unable to measure his or her temperature?
If you have answered "No" to the above questions, go back to Check Your Symptoms and continue to answer the questions to evaluate your symptoms.
