See significance of a child's crying and an abuse injury if you need information to help you answer the questions below.
Review health risks that may increase the seriousness of your child's crying.
Note: If you think your child has been abused, it is your responsibility to call your health professional or contact the National Child Abuse Hotline and Referral Service at 1-800-422-4453.
Call your child's health professional immediately if you answer "Yes" to any of the following questions.
Yes Do you think your child has had an injury caused by abuse?
Yes Do you think your child's crying may have been caused by emotional abuse?
If you have answered "No" to the above questions, go back to Check Your Symptoms and continue to answer the questions to evaluate your symptoms.
