self-exam once a month. - Check your skin and skin growths for any
changes in color, shape, size, or appearance.
- Look for any diseased
area of skin that has not healed.
- Report any suspicious changes in
your skin to your health professional.
Certain medications, such as some
antibiotics or
diuretics, can make your skin more sensitive to the
sun's rays. Ask your health professional about this potential side effect of
your medications, and take extra precautions if necessary.
