Symptoms of infection that do not improve with antibiotic treatmentIf you think your child's symptoms are not improving with antibiotic
treatment, call your child's health professional to discuss the symptoms. Your
child may need to be reevaluated if the symptoms: - Get worse or do not go away after several days of
antibiotic treatment.
- Remain or return after treatment has
ended.
Sometimes a different dose or type of antibiotic may be needed to
clear an infection completely.
