Earlier detection of Cervical Cancer: Cervical cancer is almost 100% curable when detected early. Clinical studies have shown that screening women age 30 and older with HPV and a liquid-based cytology test (either the SurePath™ liquid-based Pap test or the ThinPrep® Pap Test™) provides a greater level of accuracy and assurance than a Pap test alone. Combined screening in women over the age of 30 provides physicians with the most accurate risk assessment of their patient’s cervical health. |

A convenient urine test for Chlamydia: With the Amplified CT/GC test, a blood sample is no longer necessary to screen for Chlamydia. Once diagnosed, through a simple urine test, an infection can be easily treated with antibiotics resulting in the avoidance of serious consequences such as Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID), which can cause infertility, ectopic pregnancy, and chronic pelvic pain. |
